ISSUE NO. 037 · BOULDER, CO VOL. 6 — Q4 2024

A Quarterly Research Bulletin on Athlete-Grade Supplementation

Built on peer-reviewed doses — and nothing less than the human trials used.

Way to Go Nutrition formulates at the clinical threshold — not the label-claim threshold. Every batch carries an NSF Certified for Sport mark, a published Certificate of Analysis, and a dosing benchmark traceable to ISSN exercise-nutrition position stands. Trusted by 1,847 verified collegiate and professional athletes and the performance staff who write their protocols.

§ 02 — The Thesis

We dose at the level the human trials actually used.

Most "sports" supplements are dosed at the lowest amount a regulator will let a brand print on a label. We refuse that practice. Every formula in our catalog is benchmarked against the ISSN exercise-nutrition position stands and only carries ingredients at — or above — the threshold proven to work in human trials. If a study showed a benefit at 3.2 g/day of beta-alanine, you will find 3.2 g on our label, not 650 mg dressed up as "a clinical dose."

Our formulas are authored in-house by a team of four PhD nutritional scientists and two Registered Dietitians based in Boulder — not white-labeled, not licensed, not relabeled from a contract manufacturer. Every change to a formula requires a memo, a citation, and a sign-off from the QA lab before it ships.

§ 04 — Founder's Note

"I have stood in an Olympic medical tent and watched an athlete lose a season because a supplement they trusted came back with a tainted batch. I have also watched a perfectly clean athlete fail to break a plateau because the label on their creatine printed a dose that was a third of what the human trials actually used. Both of those failures are the same failure — the supplement industry has decided that athletes will not read the panel. We built Way to Go so they would have a brand that respects them enough to read the panel for them."

§ 05 — What we owe the next athlete

What we owe the next athlete.

  1. 01

1% to the National Eating Disorders Association

One percent of every dollar of revenue is donated to NEDA's Helpline and clinician-referral program. Athletes are a high-risk population for disordered eating; we do not market "cutting" or weight-loss stacks to anyone under 18, and we publish this donation ledger quarterly at /transparency.

  2. 02

    Carbon-neutral shipping since 2021

100% of outbound orders ship in post-consumer recycled mailers via a carbon-neutral certified carrier. Offset ledger is reviewed annually by an independent third party; the most recent review closed in October 2024 with a verified net-zero footprint on outbound shipping.

  3. 03

    B Corp audit, Q2 2025

B Corp certification is in active audit; the standards review covers our supply chain (every raw-material supplier audited for labor practices since 2023), our QA lab's chemical waste handling, and our public reporting on athlete safety. We expect certification by Q3 2025 and will publish the scorecard on this site on the day it is issued.
